I did a short apprenticeship at Eckels Pottery (Bayfield, WI) in 1995 after dabbling with clay in the high school art room. It solidified my love for clay and it’s endless possibilities.

While raising my three kids, I always reserved a section of kitchen counter top for hand building.

So many years later my love affair remains. I’m continually inspired by this Great Lake Superior, it’s shore lines and the clay itself, my dearest friend who reminds me to be flexible and also strive for long term integrity. This medium feeds my head, heart and hands. Im often humbled that my pots are such an integral part of so many people’s daily lives and nourishment. This gives me great joy. I aspire to be better and continue to push myself further. I will learn new things and create more beauty.
