I live and work in Washburn Wisconsin on the shores of the Chequemegon Bay of Lake Superior with my family. In 2003 I made my first briar tobacco pipe and in 2005 I started making pottery.
My work involves fire, heat, smoke, air, earth, and wood. Whether it is a handmade briar tobacco pipe or a piece of wood fired or electric fired pottery I try to let the process of making itself put it's mark on the finished product. My intention is for my work to look like a part of nature itself.
