Sue Rauschenfels

Painter & mixed-media artist
Duluth, MN

Sue Rauschenfels' love of nature, color, people and whimsy are captured in her work. For added texture and interest, she often incorporates mixed media, making her own collage papers using paints, stamping blocks, cardboard and hand sketched drawings. She enjoys telling a story in her work which is often as she sees things or dreams of how things should be rather than the realistic narrative.

Sue began painting full-time in 2009 after retiring from the University of Minnesota Duluth. A member of Lake Superior Watercolor Society LSWS since 2014, Sue also is a member of Artists of Minnesota, Arrowhead Artists, Lake Superior Abstract Interest Group, Tweed Museum of Art, Duluth Art Institute and the Minneapolis Institute of Art.
